Why did my post fail?

When a post can't be published it is marked Failed in your posts list and calendar, and everyone in the workspace gets a notification in the bell at the top of the app. Open the post to see the reason. The most common causes: Your connection expired Access tokens for any connected network (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Telegram) can expire or get revoked - for example after a password change on that network, or from revoking Flomixy's access in the network's own settings. When that happens, the post page shows a Reconnect account alert. Click it to restore the connection - see Account connection problems for what reconnecting looks like on each network. While a connection is down, your scheduled posts are paused, not lost - they stay scheduled and publish automatically within a minute of reconnecting (or at their scheduled time if it's still in the future). Video processing problems Reels are encoded by Instagram after upload, which can take a couple of minutes. If Instagram rejects the video (unsupported codec, too long, wrong aspect ratio), the post fails - check the video meets Instagram's Reels requirements and try again. Network-side limits Every network enforces its own rules: posts-per-day, media size limits, and account restrictions. If your account is temporarily restricted by the network itself, publishing fails even though everything on our side is fine. Daily posting limit reached If a post fails with "Publishing quota exceeded" or "Daily posting limit reached," you've hit that network's limit on how many posts an account can publish within a rolling 24-hour window (Instagram, Threads and TikTok have this limit; Facebook doesn't). This isn't something Flomixy controls. When this happens, the post shows a badge with the estimated time your account's limit resets, so you know when it's safe to try again. Because the limit is still in effect right after the failure, you won't see a Retry button on this post - wait until the reset time shown, then reschedule it or duplicate it to a later time. More detail: Understanding your daily posting limits. How to retry Open the failed post, fix what's needed (reconnect, replace media), and schedule or publish it again. Privacy, your data, and deleting it

Short version: your data is yours, and every promise we make is written down. - Privacy policy: app.flomixy.com/privacy - Terms of service: app.flomixy.com/terms - Data deletion: app.flomixy.com/data-deletion Disconnecting an Instagram account Disconnecting (Accounts page) removes our access token for that account. We can no longer publish or read anything for it. You can also revoke access from the Meta side (Instagram app → Settings → Website permissions) - the effect is the same. Deleting your data If you remove the app from your Instagram/Facebook settings, Meta notifies us automatically and the deletion process starts. You receive a confirmation code and can check the status of your deletion request on the data-deletion page linked above. You can also contact us directly at [email protected]. Deleting your team The team owner can delete the whole team in Settings → Team settings → Delete team. You confirm by typing the team name exactly. What happens when you delete a team: - Every member is signed out, and the other members get an email telling them the team was deleted. - The team's subscription is cancelled. - Posts, brands and connected accounts of the team are permanently removed after a retention period of about 30 days. Until then, [email protected] can restore the team if you deleted it by mistake. Only the team owner sees this option. Admins, approvers and team members don't, and it can't be given to a custom role. Deleting a team does not delete your personal account; you can delete that separately from your account settings.

Account connection problems: reconnecting and missing accounts

Account connection problems: reconnecting and missing accounts Sometimes an account you've connected stops working, or you can't find a Page you expected to see when connecting Facebook. This article covers both. "Token expired - reconnect" Each connected account gets a badge like this on your Accounts page when its connection to the network has expired or been revoked. Common causes: a password change on the network, revoking Flomixy's access from the network's own settings, or the connection simply expiring after a long time. You'll also see a warning if a connection is getting close to expiring (within the next two weeks), so you can reconnect before it actually breaks. While a connection is down, nothing is lost - any posts scheduled through that account stay scheduled and publish automatically once you reconnect (or at their scheduled time, if that's still in the future). How to reconnect What reconnecting looks like depends on the network: - Instagram and Threads can often refresh the connection quietly in the background when it's close to expiring, without you having to do anything. If it's already expired, or a quiet refresh isn't possible, you'll see a Reconnect option that takes you through that network's login screen again. - Facebook and TikTok always need a full reconnect - click Reconnect and sign in again on that network. - Telegram doesn't use a login screen at all. Instead, Reconnect opens the same form you used to connect it originally, where you re-enter your bot token. Reconnecting one account never signs you out of Flomixy or affects your other connected accounts - it only restores that one connection. "I don't see my Facebook Page" When you connect Facebook, a window opens showing which of your Facebook Pages were shared with Flomixy: - If it shows "No Pages were shared," Facebook didn't share any Page with Flomixy during that login. Start the connection again and make sure you grant access to at least one Page when Facebook asks. If a Page you manage still doesn't show up, use the "share it with us directly" link in that window instead - this lets you share a Page directly, which also covers Pages that live in a separate Facebook Business Portfolio and don't show up through the normal login screen. - If it shows a list of Pages, tick the ones you want to use and click Activate. A Page can also seem to disappear later if its connection has expired - it still exists on your Accounts page, but shows the "Token expired - reconnect" badge above instead of being ready to post to. Reconnect it the same way as any other account. Related articles - Why did my post fail? - Getting started: your account and connecting a network

Understanding your daily posting limits

Understanding your daily posting limits Instagram, Threads, and TikTok each limit how many posts an account can publish within a rolling 24-hour window - this is a limit set by the network itself, not by Flomixy. Facebook has no such limit. TikTok's extra limit while our app is under review Until TikTok finishes reviewing our app, TikTok also caps how many posts an unreviewed app can publish per account at up to 5 posts every 24 hours - separate from the badge/quota system below, which covers Instagram, Threads and TikTok's normal published-post limit. You'll also see that every TikTok account must be private and every post publishes as Only me until the review is complete. Where you'll see it coming On your Accounts page, and in the account picker when creating a post, an account close to its limit shows a small badge: - Nothing shows below 80% of the limit used. - From 80-99% used, you'll see a warning badge with the percentage used. - At 100%, the badge says the limit has been reached. What happens when you hit the limit If an account has reached its limit while you're creating a post, the composer shows a banner saying the account has reached its 24-hour publish limit. You can still save the post as a draft - that's never blocked - but Publish and Schedule are disabled for that account until the limit resets. If you schedule a post into a time window where the account already has a lot of other posts queued up, you may see a warning that this could push you over the limit by the time it's due to go out. You can still schedule it - it's a heads-up, not a block - but the post may fail later if the account is still at its limit when the scheduled time arrives. If a post actually fails because of the limit A post that fails for this reason shows "Publishing quota exceeded" with an estimated time the limit resets - this is an estimate (roughly 24 hours from when it was checked), not the network's exact reset moment. Since retrying immediately would just fail again, there's no Retry button on this post. Wait until the estimated reset time, then reschedule it or duplicate it to a later time. Troubleshooting your AI assistant connection

Connected an AI assistant such as Claude to Flomixy and something is not working? Find your question below. My post stayed a draft Approving a post does not choose when it goes out. A post the assistant creates without a publish time stays a draft, even after you approve it, because Flomixy has no time to publish it. To fix it: 1. Open the post in Flomixy and set a date and time, then schedule it. Or: 2. Go back to the assistant and tell it when to publish, for example: "Schedule the post about the new menu for tomorrow at 10:00." Next time, include the time in your first message: "Create a post for my Instagram saying 'Our new menu is here' and schedule it for Friday at 09:00." Remember that the time the assistant chooses is only a proposal. The post still waits for someone to approve it. If the approval comes after the proposed time has passed, open the post and pick a new time. My AI says it is not allowed to publish right away By default every post an assistant creates waits for human approval, and the assistant is not allowed to skip that step. Asking it to "publish now" does not change this. This applies to assistants connected with an API key. An assistant connected by signing in, such as ChatGPT, can never skip approval. Publishing without approval needs a special permission on the API key, Skip approval (auto-approve). Only the workspace owner can give a key this permission: 1. The owner opens Settings → API keys and creates a new key (or a replacement for the current one). 2. The owner ticks the auto-approve permission and copies the new key. 3. Replace the key in your assistant's connector. Use this carefully. An assistant with this permission publishes to your accounts with no human check, so only give it to a key whose assistant does not read untrusted content such as web pages or emails. A brand that is set to always require approval still requires it. More in API keys: choosing the right permissions. My AI cannot attach the picture I sent A picture you attach in the chat with the assistant stays in that chat. The assistant cannot pass it on to Flomixy. Give it one of these instead: - A public link to the picture (it must open in a browser without signing in). - A picture from your Flomixy media library. Tell the assistant to look in your library. - An upload link. Ask the assistant for an upload link. It gives you a one-time Flomixy link that is valid for about 10 minutes. Open it, upload the picture from your device, then tell the assistant you are done. Example message: Create a post for my Instagram account with this picture: https://example.com/new-menu.jpg. Caption: "Our new menu is here". Or, if the picture is only on your computer: I want to post a picture from my computer. Please give me an upload link. Instagram posts always need a picture or video, so the assistant cannot create one without it. ChatGPT sign-in shows a 401 or 500 error If you see a 401 or 500 error while connecting ChatGPT (after clicking Sign in with your Flomixy account), the cause is on Flomixy's side. It is not caused by your ChatGPT settings or your Flomixy account, so deleting and recreating the app will not help. Contact Flomixy support and tell us: - the time of the attempt (with your time zone), - the name of the workspace you tried to connect. If the Flomixy page says that only the owner can connect, that is a different case: ask the workspace owner to do the sign-in. Steps: Connect ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and n8n to Flomixy. 401 / 403 errors (API keys) - 401 ("Unauthorized") means Flomixy does not recognise the key. The key was copied wrong, has expired, or was revoked. - 403 ("Forbidden") means the key is valid but is not allowed to do what you asked. It is missing a permission (scope), for example it can read posts but not create them. To fix either one: 1. Open Settings → API keys (workspace owner only) and check that the key is active and not expired. 2. Check that it has the permissions the action needs, for example Posts write to create posts or Media write to upload. 3. If in doubt, create a new key with the right permissions, then replace it in the assistant's connector. Keys are shown only once, so copy it right away. If you do not see Settings → API keys, only the workspace owner can open it. Ask them to create the key. Connector says it is not connected Go through this list: 1. Address. It must be exactly https://mcp.flomixy.com/mcp, with no spaces and nothing added at the end. 2. Key header. If you connect with an API key, the header name must be x-api-key and the value is the key itself, with no extra words. Authentication should be set to No sign-in. 3. Switched on in the chat. Open a new chat and make sure the Flomixy connector is turned on for it. In Claude Code, type /mcp and check that flomixy is listed as connected. 4. The key is still valid. Check it is not revoked or expired in Settings → API keys. 5. Start fresh. Remove the connector, add it again, and open a new chat. Still stuck? Contact support and tell us which assistant you use and what message it shows.

Connecting during beta: accept the invite on each network

While Flomixy is in beta, some networks only let approved test accounts connect. If you were told you've been added as a tester, you must accept that invite on the network itself before you click Connect in Flomixy. Otherwise the connection fails or returns without your account. Find your network below. It takes about a minute. Instagram Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account (personal accounts can't connect). 1. On a computer, log in to instagram.com with the account you want to connect. The option is often missing in the mobile app. 2. Open https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/ (or Settings → Apps and websites). 3. Open the Tester invites tab. 4. Click Accept next to the invite. 5. Back in Flomixy, go to Accounts and click Connect on Instagram. Don't see the invite? Wait a few minutes and refresh. Make sure you're logged in to the exact Instagram username you gave us. Facebook (Pages) The invite goes to the Facebook profile that manages your Page. 1. Log in to facebook.com with that profile. 2. Open https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=applications (Settings & privacy → Settings → Your activity → Apps and websites). 3. Scroll down to Requests. 4. Click Accept on the tester invite. Facebook asks you to agree to the Meta Platform Terms. This is expected. 5. Back in Flomixy, click Connect on Facebook and select your Page. Threads 1. Log in to threads.com (or the Threads app) with the account you want to connect. 2. Go to Settings → Account → Website permissions. 3. Open the Invites tab. If it isn't there yet, wait a few minutes and refresh. 4. Click Accept. 5. Back in Flomixy, click Connect on Threads. If you see "The user has not accepted the invite to test the app", the invite in step 4 is still pending. YouTube and Google Business Profile You don't need to accept anything. We add your Google account email to the test list. When you connect, Google shows "Google hasn't verified this app". This is expected during beta. Click Continue (if you only see Advanced, click it, then the link to continue to the app), then allow the requested access. Good to know: during beta Google ends test connections after 7 days. If your YouTube or Google Business Profile account shows Reconnect, just connect it again. TikTok There's no invite to accept, and any TikTok account can connect. During beta TikTok has two limits: - Posts are published as private (only you can see them). You can change a post to Everyone in the TikTok app afterwards. - Your TikTok account must be set to private when the post goes out (Settings and privacy → Privacy → Private account). Pinterest During beta Pinterest only allows the account that owns our developer app. Pinterest has no tester invites, so other accounts can't connect yet. This changes once Pinterest approves our full access. LinkedIn, WordPress and Telegram No invite needed. These connect for everyone: - LinkedIn: sign in and click Allow. - WordPress: on your site's approval screen, click Yes, I approve of this connection. - Telegram: follow Connecting your Telegram channel.
