Scheduling posts and using the calendar

Scheduling a post In the composer's Schedule step, pick a date and time. The time must be in the future - past times are rejected. You can schedule up to one year ahead; if you pick a date more than ~2.5 months out you'll see a friendly heads-up (Instagram best practice), but it won't block you. Scheduled posts are published automatically within a minute of their scheduled time. The calendar The Calendar page shows all your posts laid out by day, color-coded by status (draft, scheduled, published, failed). Use it to spot gaps in your posting schedule and to jump straight into any post. Previewing, editing and deleting from the calendar Hover over a post in the calendar (or click it to keep the card open) to see a preview card: the image or video thumbnail, the full text, the networks and accounts it goes to, the date and time with your timezone, its status and approval state. For published posts the card also shows views, likes, comments and shares per network. Where a network does not share a number, you will see n/a. If a post failed, the reason is shown on the card. Use Edit on the card to open the post. Use Delete to remove it. Before anything is deleted, Flomixy asks you to confirm and tells you exactly where the post will be removed. - Scheduled posts and drafts are removed from Flomixy and taken out of the queue. - Published posts can also be removed from the network when it allows that. Some networks do not let Flomixy delete posts (Instagram, for example). In that case the post is removed from Flomixy only, and the confirmation tells you to remove it in the network's own app. After deleting, you see the result for each network. If you only have view access, the card shows the details and an Open post button, but no Edit or Delete. Pausing a scheduled post Need to hold a post back without deleting it? Open the post menu (⋯) on the Posts list or the post page and choose Pause. The post gets a Paused badge, keeps its scheduled time, and will not be published while it is paused. It stays on the calendar with a dashed look so you can still see where it sits. To publish it again, choose Resume: - If the scheduled time is still in the future, the post goes back to Scheduled right away. - If the scheduled time has already passed, Flomixy asks you to pick a new time and suggests the next free slot. A paused post is never published by surprise. You can find paused posts in the Paused tab of the Posts list. Only team members who are allowed to publish posts see the Pause and Resume actions. When publishing fails If a scheduled post fails to publish (for example the Instagram connection expired), the post is marked Failed, and everyone in the workspace sees a notification in the bell icon at the top. Open the post to see the reason - if it's a connection problem, a Reconnect account button takes you straight to the fix, and you can retry the post afterwards. Why "Publish now" or "Schedule" is unavailable Each network has its own minimum, and a post that doesn't meet it can't go out. Instead of failing later, Flomixy tells you up front: - Instagram and TikTok need at least one image or video. A text-only post can't be published or scheduled there. - Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn and Telegram accept text-only posts, but the post needs a caption or media. An empty post is rejected. If a network is missing something, Publish now is greyed out, and the post card in your Posts list shows a short note such as "Image missing for Instagram". On the edit page, a warning names the network and Save stays disabled while a date is set. Add the missing image or caption (or remove that network from the post) and the buttons turn back on. Drafts without a date can always be saved, so you can finish them later. This also helps with drafts that arrive from an RSS feed or an AI assistant: they appear in your list as drafts, and the note tells you exactly what is missing before you publish.

Your weekly posting schedule and best times to post

Instead of picking a date and time for every single post, you can set up a weekly posting schedule - the times you normally want to post - and then drop posts into it. Flomixy also suggests the times your audience actually engages with. Open Settings → Posting schedule. Setting your weekly slots The board shows the seven days of the week. Under any day, click + Slot and pick a time to add it. Click a time to change it, or the × to remove it. You can have up to 21 slots per week. Nothing is saved until you press Save. Every slot is a wall-clock time in the schedule's timezone, shown in the Timezone panel on the right. Changing the timezone keeps your slots reading the same - 09:00 stays 09:00 - and never moves posts you've already scheduled. Workspace default vs. per-account By default your slots apply to the whole workspace. If you manage several Instagram accounts and they need different rhythms, pick an account at the top of the page and give it its own schedule. An account's own schedule always wins over the workspace default. Facebook and Threads accounts can have their own schedule too, separate from your Instagram one. On that account's Analytics page, click a time on the Best time to post heatmap and it's added straight to that account's weekly schedule - no need to switch to the Settings page. Using the queue Once you have slots, the composer's Schedule step offers Add to queue: - Next free slot - Flomixy drops the post into the earliest upcoming slot that isn't already taken. - Pick a slot - choose a specific slot yourself from the week. Free upcoming slots also appear on the Calendar as dashed outlines, so you can see the gaps. Best times to post Pick one of your connected accounts - Instagram, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn or Telegram - and the Best times to post panel suggests when to publish. Suggestions are per account - different audiences, different habits. The same suggestions also appear while you choose a time in the post composer, for the account you're scheduling. Each suggestion tells you where it came from: - A time with an engagement figure (for example +24% engagement · 6 posts) is based on your own published posts at that time. The figure compares that slot against your account's average. - Industry average means it's a general recommendation from published research, not your data. Click Add next to any suggestion and it becomes a slot in your schedule right away. Why some suggestions say "Industry average" We work out your best times from how your own posts have actually performed. That means two honest limits: - New accounts. Until you've published your first post, there's nothing to go on, so we show industry averages and say so. From your first post on, suggestions are based on your own history - they're rough at first and get sharper as you keep posting. - We can only rank times you've already used. If you've never posted on a Wednesday evening, we have no way of knowing how it would do - so we won't claim it's your best time. The industry averages are there partly to suggest times worth trying. If a suggestion is already in your schedule, its button reads In schedule. Networks without analytics, and accounts with no posts - LinkedIn and Telegram don't share performance numbers with us, so there is no engagement figure. Their suggestions are the times you post most often, and the panel says so - it's a reflection of your habits, not a measure of what works best. - If a network's analytics are temporarily unavailable, you'll see the same "posted most often" ranking with a note that analytics can't be read right now. - Threads, Facebook and TikTok are ranked from a sample of your best-performing recent posts, so a newer account's suggestions start from its first post and sharpen as you publish more. - An account with no published posts yet shows industry averages and a note. Publish your first post and your own suggestions will appear. Related articles - Scheduling posts and using the calendar - Creating a post with the composer - Why did my post fail?

Evergreen: automatically repost your best content

If a post is still relevant months later - a tip, a testimonial, a seasonal promo - you don't have to copy and reschedule it by hand every time. Turn on Evergreen and Flomixy will quietly bring it back on a schedule you choose. How to turn it on You can enable Evergreen in two places: - While creating a post - on the final review step of the composer, toggle Recycle this post automatically. - On a post that's already published - open the post and use the same Recycle this post automatically toggle. Choosing an interval Once it's on, pick how often you want it to repost under Repost every: - A quick preset: 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days. - Or choose Custom and enter your own number of days (anywhere from 1 to 365). Choosing when it stops Under Stop reposting pick one of three options: - Never - it keeps reposting until you turn Evergreen off. - After a number of reposts - stops once it has been reposted that many times (at least 1). - On a date - stops after the date you pick. The date has to be after the first repost. Schedule preview Next to the settings you'll see a preview: the date of the first repost (or Next repost once it's active), the time it will happen, how many reposts are planned in total, and a short timeline of the upcoming ones. It updates as you change the interval or the stop option, so you can check the plan before saving. Saving on a published post On a post that's already published, Evergreen has its own Save schedule button. A badge next to the title shows Not saved while you have changes and Active once they're saved. Discard puts the settings back to what was last saved. To stop Evergreen, switch it off and press Turn off Evergreen. What actually happens When the interval is up, Flomixy creates a fresh draft copy of the post - it does not publish anything automatically. That draft goes through the exact same process as any other post: if your workspace requires approval before publishing, the draft waits for approval like normal. You decide when (or whether) it goes out. On the published post, you'll see Next repost on so you always know when the next draft is coming. On the new draft itself, you'll see a Recycled from link back to the original post. Turning it off Flip the same toggle off at any time. This only stops future reposts - any drafts that were already created stay exactly where they are; nothing already in your queue or calendar is removed. Who can use it Evergreen is available to workspace owners, admins and account owners. Regular team members won't see the toggle - ask an owner or admin on your workspace to turn it on for a post.
