Notifications: the bell in the top bar

Last updated on Sep 30, 2026

The bell icon in the top bar collects things that need your attention - most importantly failed posts and updates about posts waiting on approval.

  • When a scheduled or manual post fails to publish, a notification appears with the reason (for example "Post failed to publish: your Instagram connection expired").
  • If you use client approvals, you'll also get a notification when a post is sent for review, and again if the reviewer requests changes - so you know right away without checking the Approvals page yourself.
  • Notifications addressed to you (like a request for changes) are seen only by you; general workspace notifications like a failed post are shared by the whole workspace - everyone who can view posts sees them, so a failure never depends on one person being online.
  • The badge shows the unread count. Open the dropdown to read, mark one as read, or Mark all as read.
  • New notifications show up within a minute - no refresh needed.

Clicking through from a notification takes you to the relevant post. See also: Why did my post fail? and Getting posts approved before they publish.
